I am considering selling my LCR in the near future.Is it best to return the car to standard or to sell with mods.The car has Revo, 007 dv and induction kit .What i really need to know is whether Revo is a plus or minus when advertising?

depends who's buying it really if its a fellow car modder it maybe fine if its an older boy who it doesnt appeal to maybe a prob but i cant see why?

Depends on who's buying it. Advertising on here you'd want to tell people about the REVO, if it's on Auto Trader you could just leave it off the advert and tell them when they get there. I can't see it putting anyone off though?

always a difficult one this, but this should give you an idea.
When I was on the hunt for a mint LCR, called a bloke in Scotland he said the car was mint and I thought great! The car had low miles and pictures he sent me were cracking. Thing is he had chipped it, immediately I thought why would anyone wanna chip a car which is 225BHP standard. That put me off. Now, I'm a bit of an old boy and wanted a car which had power and the practicallity of a family car, but when I found it was chipped immediately i thought, BOY RACER, NAH, not for me!!

standard, if you can be bothered to strip the parts off it.
When I come to sell mine in the near future, I'll probably remove all the easy modifications, and leave the others on there. I just can't be bothered with the hassle as it will take me quite a while/cost a fair bit to remove suspension/FMIC and replace with standard items.
Would be nice to think someone from here or someone who appreciates modified cars would buy it - but I think it's doubtful.

I have to agree with the above, selling it standard is the way forward, i feel, i normally take all my mods off when selling a car, it's not going to make it worth any more than it is, and can normally detract from the car's true value.

Had the same dilemma when I sold my Revo'd LC.
I advertised it with the Revo but offered to have it removed prior to sale if the buyer wanted.
The chap who bought it was in his 50's but was happy to keep the Revo as he said it would save him from getting it done himself. Turns out he'd owned an LC before.
