since i bought my leons, the standard head unit i upgraded it to jvc kd-avx the same day. but i miss the orignal look,

whats other people opoions?? will the standard look better or after market one?

I have the jvc head unit that plays dvds with the buttons either side on that headunit....it is currently in my polo but dunno if i am gonna move it to the LCR as the lights are blue on it....

If you want a stock-look take a peek at Beckers range of head units. Some of them will work with the stock CD changer if you have one too

i like my jvc player, but i hate the hassle of takin the face due car theft. witha standard no bother jackin them.

I know how you feel. I have an Alpine that looks a bit 'obvious' on the dash. I might go for a Becker unit myself if I'm feeling flush (not likely then lol). They do various coloured versions of the same units so you can pick the one that matches your dash illumination.

I have seen people cut of the face of a stock head unit and stick it on the front of a pop out screen, maybe that will work for ya?

My JVC unit looks good. It is several colour options for the screen and the chosen red is almost OEM. JVC KD-G827

i got a seprate screen for jvc avx 1 dvd player, any suggestion where i could put it? i dont wana drill any permanet holes or cut into fabric

i prefere the original fit look.
well, more because most other fitments look just not, out of place.
in my opinon.

there are some on the market that may well look ok.

Just had new Pioneer DEH 5800 fitted yesterday, plenty of colour options for the background, the red looks spot on. Much better looking than standard HU

i got 2 alpine 7inch lcd widescreens in mine, there spot on with the jvc

I have the becker Grand Prix 7992. Looks very OEM and absolutely love the sound. With the standard speakers it is worlds apart from the standard head unit. Has a line in also so can listen to my mp3 player. HIGHLY recommended
