touch a radiator in your house before you touch your car;) or just any radiator for that fact....:ban:

You can get those little black strips, that hang off the back of some cars.

Black with white zig zag arrow, pointing to the floor.

They just rest on the ground, I have been told before that they are what stop static build up.

I've just had a look online... but can't find what I mean... hopefully you'll know what I'm on about.

if im being honest mate its not going to kill you lolol so no point in wasting money on a tiny little shock......lol

you mean the anti static strips, will look on ebay now but want to try and hide this as i dont think its a cool look :(

It could be down to the material of the clothes you are wearing at the time.
I used to get static shocks from my old Ford Escort if I wore a particular pair of tracksuit bottoms, any other pants and no shocks.

I used to get this, some of the shocks were pretty uncomforable aswell, i came to the conclusion after a lot of pissing about it was my foot wear, got rid of the trainers.....haven't had an issue since! Worked for me anyway.

i dont get it all the time even though i wear the same shoes most of the time!
normally i'm drivig alone so cant let anyone else out first :(

its down to a combination of moving parts and wind resistance rolling over the car that causes it,

those who polish their cars often will suffer this more too,

those static strips sort it, but the look a tad meh,

I constantly get these when i get out of my Leon, one evening i could even see the static shock from the car to my finger and can always hear the snap sound it makes.

I just avoid touching metal when i get out of the car.

doesnt help when i want to put the car in the garage, gota touch the metal door at some point!

sometimes i will touch the garage keys to the lock and see the spark come off then i know its safe to touch the car again

Great.. Nice to hear you get it done. Sometimes it occurs during sudden acceleration to your shocks.

hold onto metal door frame when getting out the car, this happens to me all the time and its very annoying! lol

Earth yourself before touching the car!!!
