Ibiza 130 tdi created a false floor for the boot of the Ibiza. He had a 12" slim sub fitted. looked good. I think that is the route i will go down when I get my a*** in gear to do it.

i'd just go for a slimiline active sub that you can put under your seat. Both Alipine and Pioneer offer descent ones. it just depends how hardcore into your ICE you are.

Best set up i ever had was in my old fiesta ( about 10 years ago now, had alpine components int he front with a 10" sub. it sounded amazing,

This took a weekend to make. The amp is on the right side, inside the fabric. Is this stealth? :)

Air gets there, thats the original side fabric and the amp is mounted with 2-side tape to the body, the fabric is pretty flexible so there was enough room to mount it there. The amp has been there few years now and it has never overheated. People tend to think they overheat easily. Just make care it has space around and air gets there and it will be ok.

Question is... what size is that sub as it looks like about 10". If its a 12" surely you can't have enough air space within that enclosure?

My new setup when completed in my boot is going to look pretty dam awesome, wait & see guys.

Even with a 10 inch you can't get the 'ideal' amount of air space within a spare wheel, then again most boot enclosures don't meet the speakers requirements. You should still get pretty punchy bass from that sized enclosure though. If I'm looking at the speaker correctly it also comes up a couple of inches off the wheel, so it's not just the space inside the wheel?

Amazing work there Joens, really first class!

Its a Peerless R10, which is 10". The factory recommends 14 litre sealed box. The sparewheels is 16" wheel and the capacity (net) is 15l (measured) at the point the box was made. I calcuted what sort of box capacity is possible to make and then I decided what sub to buy, to meet the specs of the box.

I think that is simple and should clarify the "not" meeting the manufacturers recommendations.. :)

And yes the sub isnt "inside" the wheel. Theres a 20mm mdf on top of the wheel which is attached to the fiber box . It doesnt really affect on the boot space or anything.
