when stationary, turning my wheel left to right and it knocks and i can feel it near my feet, i was thinking it could be the knuckle of the steering rack/column, not had chance to have a proper look yet, just wanted to know if anyone else has had a similar problem?

thanx

I thought this mate and i replaced the steering rack at work, only to then find out after 4way aligning it that it made the same damn noise, so back up in the air and old rack back on, turns out to be a common fault of strut top bearing collapsing, mine still knocks ive just learned to live with it until i put my coilies on soon.

arghh...i thought it might of been connected to the strut tops, as theres a slight rattle as if the bearing is collapsed! makes sense. ill get some new ones, its bloody annoying.

cheers mate
