Steering wheel controls adaptation

Does anyone know if it’s possible to code the steering wheel controls to stay on until the key is removed?

I find myself staying in the car listening to music with ignition off quite often and it’s very annoying that I have to use the MIB to skip songs instead of using the controls on the steering wheel.
