Strange Boost

All,

I've got a strange problem with my Ibiza Cupra, sometimes when on boost, on hard acceleration in say 4th or 5th boost completely cuts, and my car does not boost at all until the ignition is switched off and then back on. Very strange, no warning lights, but you definately feel the boost being cut off, definately no boost as you cannot hear the spool and there's no pull/torque!

Any ideas of what this could possibly be? 75% of the times I drive, I do not experience this problem, but would rather get it sorted than potentially have something wrong that could get worse.

Any feedback/help greatly appreciated.

If only in high gears under load then probably over boosting. Is it remapped? Have you got access to vag-com?

back from the dead this thread!! yea, vag com says charge limit exceeded, mass air flow runs normally, i.e. expected results. yeh, it's remapped, stage1 amd-technik

could be ya N75, (overboost) mine was doin the same except mine was under boosting, had new n75...so far so good but now me T/C and EML have come up and vagcom says mass air flow sensor signal to low.....fookin things! lol

yeah, i plan on changing that this week to see whats going on. wish it would overboost all the time, it's rapid when it is

Had pretty much the same problem and it's been fine since changing my MAF

i have the same problem mate a few of us have. do the maf test if not then its the N75
