little update...neatening up

ok i was just looking a MDS thread and OMG it makes me realise how untidy my car is and how i can look with some hard erant cash being splashed about and some TLC..
as you can see from my picture my intercooler goes through my slam panel.

now the company who fitted it did a great bodge but its not to neat or too good on the eye.. so i plan on buying a second hand one measuring it all up where to cut etc then painting it gloss black so it looks all OEM ish lol

also my wheels will be getting refurbed in dark gloss anthracite after i get paid 23-7-09
but i can only get two wheels done at a time so it will take a week or so but hen they will be completed..

i will be needing new pads and disks on the front along with some higher boiling point brake fluid this will probably be done after august pay day along with fuel filter and oil and filter change...

i will be purchasing a nk5 tdi 1.9 engine cover to brighten up the engine bay along with new battery and fuse cover as mine are a bit tatty and frankly just crap.along with my strut brace which ill be painting black at some point also..

after the other night over ebs fleet where i managed to get my brakes red hot literally ill be buying some 256mm s3/lcr rear brakes to try and sort this out a wee bit along with looking better of course

now this will take a few months to complete all of the above and i have more plans also but it will be worth the wait...

I dont think the rears will stop the fronts from getting red hot - yuor better off getting DS2500's all round.

yeah it was a bit of a pain but it went trough but it took some persuation in all fairness

ok i paid pat a visit today and got his wheels for my beast and he dint even clean the for me the cheek of it...

i must aso remember to tire shine my tires for photos lol but there done now..

i also got these air vents a pat on the back for the first person to guess who they elong to before pat!!!

ok after talking to maz i realised that if i am going to be getting him to detail my car i will have to be looking after it!!i have not purchased the below yet but i will be half this month half next to keep cost down as i am not made of money!!!
i have been reading his reviews on his rr thread and bought items he has raved about.. i just hope this will keep the beast looking tip top....

ok i was out last night and my sfs turbo to pancake pipe exploded i have started another thread on it so here is the link for the pictures...
dont get me wrong i am not going to say sfs are crap or anything and i wont be having a debate about it they said it must be a faulty hose and there sending me a new one right away

ok in my attempts to make my car look good or renewed i went to my local TPS and ordered my battery box and fuse cover and off ebay i just purchased my new expansion tank and cap so the engine bay will be looking sweet!!unfortunately i forgot to bid on the nk5 golf engine cover so i am a bit gutted about that!!!!

ok well as a few of you know my sfs hose blew up, ok so before i get my hose delivered i decided to put my large bore sfs end into the turbo, this is only a 5 minute job.....WRONG
2 hours of trying different size O rings as the OEM on does not fit in the turbo with sfs ends, filing and trimming the sfs ends to fit into the turbo took ages but its finally in and when my new pipe turns up tomorrow i hope that it does not pop out because i will not be best inpressed at all!!!!

it seems to be a snug fit and seems to be holding and i have pulled and wriggled trying to pull it out and it did not budge so all should be ok

oh and my turbo problems might be related to my actuator pipe now when i was under the car i noticed part iof the hose had worn, now it had not made a hole in the pipe BUT where it had worn thin i THINK that it was folding causing a pinch in the pipe...again i will be keeping eye on this and will buy a new pipe from seat to see if it eliminates my problem....
