K I had a trip to ****** today to try and sort my car out....
But yet again more dissapointment
They checked everything and I mean everything, nd it seems that's its the TD turbo to true foir being poo......
I have an actuator that I am going to try on the turbo, but ill be in discussion with TD tomorrow to tell them what's what and that its been a whole year of on/off trying to sort this issue......I don't earn a massive amount if money so taking turbos on/off is not easy for me, let alone having time off workk to sort these turbo issues
- am aiming for a full refund and my costs to be paid and I think ill take legal action deending on the outcome of the phone convo tomorrow

Sorry to hear this Karl.

I am sure you remember all that time ago when I highlighted the TD hybrid issues. We gave up with them in the end, they made too many mistakes, constant issues with the units and very poor customer service.

I hope you eventually sort it

If its turbo ill go standard150 and get a map I'm fed up with all tthis tbh.....

I agree with you. Problem is you left it way to long to address these issues and it will be hard for you to argue the case with them.

Refurbing turbo's isnt that dear nowadays.

Blimey mate, I remember when I was doing my Toledo up and you had all these problems. I pop back on the site every now and again and I still cant believe its not sorted!! Whatever happens to the car hope you get some sort of result.

Yeah you know, im surprised hes still got it Though today we picked up a cupra R backbox from ape that i am going to have the fun of fitting lol and also no doubt i will be fitting this other actuator aswell haha

Cheaper to get the turbo looked at by CR Turbos. A turbo is a turbo at the end of the day - so if your one is faulty then it can be mended for sure. I would speak to CR Turbos.

VW will charge the earth for a new turbo surely?

How does that work then? Refurb for £200-250 vs £500 for a lesser turbo. I understand you wanting something that works but Hybrids do work...just you have amazing bad luck with it. CR Turbos are a very good company and do not get bad feedback like TD do.

Also whats happening about the CAM being faulty? Did VW confirm that or they talking out their ass?

I feel your pain. You with your turbo and me with pipework - life hasnt been easy.

You got a problem somewhere. What was rtechs diagnoses?

Rtech said turbo...vnt mechenism isn't set up correctly so I just called cr turbos and they said vnt can be incorrectly set up..so90quid plus vat and they'll set the vnt for me....35quid plus vat just to look at it so that's sweet as.....gonna wait till after xmas then gonna get it removed and send it off
