thats cos tris is in the car!

jokes... it looks lowered because the car is leaning to the left at speed, thus the wheels are in the arches!

oh and yes, they are 18s :)

Strut braces are well worth it.... with standard suspension....

I also have Neuspeed ARB's with standard suspension and that also makes a bit difference but it does end up making you want suspension.....

Which is due in October! :) :D

as mine is red a polish and some times a t cut to get rid of dirt
not sure about the S3
Cheers, but I'm really talking about stripping the black finish off the S3 brace completely for a silver metal look, perhaps with colour coded ends. Just wondered best way of stripping it and whether the bare metal would need treatment to prevent corrosion and to bring it up nice and shiney.

Some coats of clear lacquer should keep it from rusting once it's stripped and polished. (Paint stripper to strip ???- but you'd need to make sure you'd removed all traces before proceeding).

A mod is about to happen methinks. What materials do you use if you want to strip and polish the S3 Strut brace? (bit of a novice with this sort of thing). When done would it need any maintainance beyond a wipe clean every once in a while?

to polish it you need to use sand paper, start with a more course grade and once the metal is off finish with a light grade, then ploish it.

i decided to paint the ends black and then i lacquered the whole lot to protect it and stop it from rusting, also being lacquered its very easy to clean... i whipe mine with a cloth maybe once every two months!

Thanks James. Decisions, decisions. I may strip it like yours, or as an afterthought I might keep it black and just go to polished lacquered metal on the ends and get some silver SCN and AmD stickers to set it off. Might look nice that way if I take a deep breath and also fork out on some neuspeed billet strut caps!
