Update:

I thought I killed her last night.

Some div parked in the road, so had to go around him (single lane with on coming traffic)
went round BANG + Metal SCRAPEEEEEEEEE in the middle.

Shat myself! parked up, went back to have a look, was them illuminated box things (with an arrow on it) but was removed, but massive metal sticking out the ground (about 4inches, about 2 inches wide).

I went over it, as it wasn't lit at all on the street and pitch dark, it scraped BAD under.

Jacked it up, got torch, looked under, sump and all the vitals seemed fine, no oil or any liquid leaking.

So drove around, heard some weird noises, so pulled over, and finally found the cause.

Where the undertray would attach to the "side plastic bits" it attaches to the base of the subframe (where the wishbones come out from) and it shattered the bolt, and the plastic was flapping about.

Nursed it home, and today tie-clipped it, and will be looking for a replacement, but I doubt it will be attached back to the subframe, as that bolt is well and truly chewed up.

Soooo glad it was nothing, as it could of been so much more, and thank GOD I had engine spacers, or bye bye Mr. Sump. ;)

Thing is, a standard corsa did the exact same thing after me, that div who parked there got abused as he was in the chippy by Corsa man, like he deserved parking on double yellows [:@]

I know I'm not as low but mine did that on a drain in the middle of a small road. Massive scrape, parked up (over a small puddle) and crapped myself lol. Still have no idea what scrapped

a drain? lol
its all good, tie-clipped the rest of the undamaged plastic to the pancake pipe so it don't flap about, as I don't wanna remove it, as the pulleys and belts are there, don't want them getting dirt and water on it so it will squeek/get damaged :)

I just peed a little :cartman:

Glad it's not to much damage suj just think if you remove the undertray it's weight saving ;) lol

Sam, undertray was removed when it was dropped, as they give an extra 2-3inches scrape lol, and seeing as engine was raised, even more space, so useless lol.

Its the side things where the undertray would attach too that are still on (they keep the pulley's etc covered.

That 15mm could save my sump

Question, 18x8 wheel with an offset of 43, with 15mm spacing making it et28? What the best tyre to run without stupid stretch and avoid the arches.. cheers, wuv ya

i'm running 18x8.5J ET45 (ET20 with 25mm adapters) all round

really I need either 20mm's on front

or 5-10mm more on the back :)

on a 8J, 215/40/18 is perfect, bally (with silver Bora with RS6's on, was running them, and was perfect)

you might need front arches rolled :)

Sweet. Your arches scrub at all? How many people can you sit in your car till they do lmao?

Yeah I know I'll need the arches rolled soon, scrubs slightly when going over bumps. Tempted to rent out one of the rollers and do it myself, and see if others are interested, will be a lot cheaper than getting it done.

I've found THE wheels though, just hoping the buyer doesn't f*** me off lol :)

2 in back, 1 in front and me, and nothing but some slight arch liner rear scrubbing :)

I wouldn't do the archwork myself, i'm glad I paid to have it done, the paint WILL crack, but will be on the inside (where you can't see) mine ain't rolled flat, but just rolled slightly in, and that is more then enough (you can do this by heatgun and a panel beater hammer (not a normal hammer))

But tbh I paid to have it done, better then me f*cking it up :)

just building my badboy new PC, can't wait to have it running, 3 mofo'ing screens running off it

(2 main screens, and a LCD screen on other side of room for films) :D
yes I am a geek, kiss my chuddies lmao

True true. We'll see. I'll ask around locally for prices. If not I'll get my hammer out. Will have to see how well the wheels fit first

You nerd, I bet it'll be epic for watching p0rn on though
