Not sure chris but last time I've had a problem with no spark getting to the engine, the problem was with the distributor cap. As it was standing still for a while, oil and water got into the distribitor cap and that screwed up the connection between the little rotor arm inside the cap and all the plugs.

But TBH if your car isn't even starting, I'd keep checking the imobiliser. I know you have disconnected it but those things are buggers. Sometimes you will have a passive one built into your key and the steering colum, and then maybe a second electronic one if your car had an aftermarket alarm at some point.

BTW car looks pretty phat on that flat bed. I had a flat bed that size if not bigger come collect me when I broke down on my bike at my flat (ermmm, I mean my friends house ;) ). It looked ridiculous, this massive flat bed made for recoverring vans and trucks, and on it was just my bike, lol.

good luck with it all.

p.s. illegal sized number plate is just £30 fine, no points

enGbudd, if you gonna get new wheels, sell me your BORBETS please. Those look great, I just don't feel like cough up £600 plus quid for a set.

jenk - will try the relay

mig - may try the dizzy aswell, a security specialist removed the immobiliser and it cranks, just no firing, and the dizzy sounds like a sensible option. Has been standing for 4/5months easily, so that sounds like a good area to check

that sounds like the immob still mate...

my engine will turn over but not fire if i remove the immob chip from my key...

the function of the immob is to STOP power getting to the dizzy. the engine can still turn over but there is no spark so the car wont start. (thats what happens to me anyway)

hope you get it fixed though as i would love to see that up and running again for next months no -rice

Different Imobs work in different ways. My OEM imob prevents the engine from being started, yet my clifford imob completelly disables the ignition and anything running from it, even dash warning lights, windows, etc.

yes, but your clifford one has a higher rating than the OEM. the reason for that higher rating is it disables more functions of the car and thats why it decreases your insurance.

most OEM immob's will let the engine turn over but cuts the spark so it wont run.

oem immobiliser isnt an issue, and the fuel pump is working as it's overfuelling a bit when it's cranking

there is jsut no spark at all, i've had the oem immobiliser problem before, where it would start, and THEN cut out, not nothing at all
