I seem to remember that originally your unit was identical to mine, 5F0035020A with software 0319 and maps 0122 and we both updated
our software in stages to 1219 which changed my part number to the same as your unit, I then had my unit 'hacked' so I could update my maps
which then altered the part number to 5F0035020G, I had the software updated to 1409 early this year, I don't use CarPlay as i have Android so
I don't know if this would help.

Potentially bricked my unit, MIB2 HIGH with potentially bad firmware.

What are my options. Won’t go into emergency mode. I think it a NOR chip and MMX reflash needed.

Does anyone know a specialist either here or in Europe?

What is the problem? What happened and which firmware did you try to install? Can you read it with vcds?

Hi RCupra

It was 1407 from 1217. I can read it on ODBEleven.

It’s stuck on the load screen.

Ok. Does the screen stay blank/black?

If so, sent me a pm :)

I'm sure @Walone once said you can't jump releases with the high, you go from one to the next or did I imagine that. That jumped a release @Mtailor.
You can jump releases. Yesterday i updated a Cupra from 0123 to 1447. Took me three steps.

0123-> 06xx ->08xx -> 1447

Thanks RCupra.
Working now.

Now at 1407.

I’m looking for CarPlay stability. When I use Maps whilst on a call, the app crashes and it won’t restart unless you disconnect and reconnect

I've only had my cupra 300 for a week now so still reading up on the media system. Apparently I have the media system plus / Navigation system plus with full link and I've read this was capable of playing DVDs and other video files? Anyway, could someone let me know which system I have and whether I can / should update it ?

That's standard MIB2 unit, you can update the maps on the SD card but you need to follow a specific method as outlined in one of the posts on this forum, if you don't you will lose your maps.

Indexed off 2075 under workaround. The section under lost, stolen etc covers the rest :).

Sum total of the fixes for the mib2 standard on navigation within the zone of release then there are workaround if you want to take your car to North Africa, Israel or bring an North American one to Europe. Mib2 standard for navigation updates is well and truly sorted :).

We are still at the 1430 November release. Some technical delay on that one in VW.
