Hey,

Been doing some thinking, and decided i want to find a way of having a reliable, accurate way of switching between 2 pre-set boost levels, basicly for economy (fed up of 200miles to a careful tank)

I'm jabba mapped, so the revo sps thingy won't help me

I just wondered is it possible, and will it cause any issues with the ECU (as it won't be getting what it's requesting) ?

Any help would be appriciated.

EZT :)

Could switch it up and down using custom settings but it would involve getting your laptop out and plugging it in each time you wanted to change up and down.

Or you could buy the Jabba in car boost controller? This is of course if they are still selling it of course.

No way should a mapped car 'have' to give bad mpg...

I wonder how careful you're really being?

If you genuinely are being sensible, you have a problem with your car that you need to resolve

i am being very careful, i'm not daft lol...

i've thought there must be something wrong with the car for a while, but i've changed the MAF, Lambda's, Coolant Temp Sensor, checked vag-com etc, and theres no problems shown, and no changes.

I always assumed it was down to the ko3 spooling soo early, even on careful driving it's hard to stop it spooling everytime i hit 1500rpm....

200 miles to a tank with just town dirving, sounds about right to me. Nature of the beast unfortunitly.

I normaly arerage about 220-230 miles per tank and I'm running stage 2..

Nah, to put it in perspective - our old mk3 ran revo & driven well hit 400 to a tank.

Driven normally was 300 to a tank

Kicking hell out of it, 250.

early spool up won't change if you wind the boost back, it'll still occur in the same place - just less of it

Thats some good going, Mark.

Mine is all town driving so I think I do ok to get circa 225 miles to a tank.

Oh yeah, if all round town then that's to be expected.

But to the OP - if you do just drive round town, and are bitching about fuel economy you've bought the wrong car :)
