I'd perhaps move away from the T-cut altogether.. There are plenty of great products out there now; take a look around on www.cleanyourcar.co.uk for a better idea.
Nothing wrong with T-cut used properly, used by many detailers and bodyshops, the metallic version is just less abrasive as clearcoat is softer than solid colour paint.
