Hi mate,

In regards to the number plate bulbs I've had mine on since September and seem to be fine, fingers crossed they stay like that I guess!

Cars looking stunning! As always:D

looks lovely mate, great job! what products did you use?

Cheers mate, I use Autosmart Duet for the bodywork and wheels, a friend of mine is a Supercar detailer as his profession so I get trade products at mates' rates...

See link below down under Manual washing, it's the Duet one and it really deep cleanses the paint removing loads of crap, isn't soapy and leaves a wet look wax layer which protects the car, especially at this time of year :)

I also use one of their tyre dressings called 'Highstyle' which you can't buy in your Halfrauds etc ;)

This stuff is much better. Brush applied and leaves the tyres with a wet look for more than just an hour like alot of the rubbish sold in Halfrauds!

Mine is 4 down from the top on the below links web page.

Hi bud,

Yeah fingers crossed they will be ok. Dan's one's might have been a dodgey set etc can never really tell unless a few people have had the same issue etc.

Mine seem good as gold for now and I'm happy with them which is the main thing.

Thanks for the nice comment! :) Believe me it was far from stunning before today's clean up..........................

Wheel refurb.. What colour?

Not really so much an update, but more of some suggestions and ideas please people! :)

I want to refurb my wheels, but I'm scared about what colour to get, I like the look when it's clean, but I fancy a change.

Maybe I should add a poll to the thread, but 1st I need some options of what to go for

Currently I'm thinking of:

Black Chrome (wheels will be refurbed in black then chrome)
Dark Anthracite
Matt Black
High power silver (similar to DOLBY's)

What does everyone think?

Mine are a BMW blue colour, but look anthracite unless you get them in a certain light and then you can see a blue tinge in them :)

As above as soon as I saw Harty's LCR with the wheels refurbed to 'Fry over black' I made up my mind. Can't wait for summer time ;)

Looking good Tom, with regard to the fan issue, I've been looking into a nime control unit, I found it doing a search on here, I think the unit is about £85 and they send a step by step on how to do it. :)

I'm crap when it comes to making things so just wiring a new unit in seems easier to me!

I reckon something like Hartys wheels, really suits the Platinum.

You could always go a little darker to give more contrast to the platinum.

Id go lighter, as has been said alot of anthra shades being done and done - because they look good obviously!

Depends on how far your willing to push the boat. I personally love Apes wheel colour and that combo should not work but it does!!

Cheers for the replies people :D appreciate the input..

I've ruled out black now plus it can look tacky and makes the tyres look pale when the rubber isn't shined up with blackener etc.

Agree with a few comments that anthra has been done to death. However, Hartys pictures are immense and I'm loving this fry over black! I think I'll either go for that or high power silver...

I like mine standard when cleaned up nice they stand out well on the car, but going darker will reflect to others how my car is, being not so standard. Ok it's between those 2 mentioned! Think I'll have to setup a poll on here to make my decision. Hartys pics are just making me want that everytime I take a look!
