Yup, as long as you take your car down so they can fit it they will MAP out the error light for free.

I have a P-Torque remap and Jabbasport did mine included in the price of the EGR Race-Pipe and fitting costs.

Can't remember how much it was exactly. Between £60 and £70 I think.

Mmm... I wonder how I'd stand with my existing map then seeing as it's not theirs...

mmm, chris's map isnt jabba i dont think and they mapped it out, i dont think they tamper with the map, they just delete the egr code of the ecu so it doesnt recognise no egr and bring up a code ;)

Get one of these bad boys :)

About £60 from Jabbasport, they will remap the EGR CEL light out too.

Whats that called jabba are quite close to me

Thank you

does it make it better performance wise or make it smoother :funk:

Really hard to say as my car was running crap prior to the race pipe fitting.

I had a very bad part throttle hesitation and luckily for me I guessed that my EGR was goosed so had the race pipe fitted and been fine ever since :)

Ive just fitted and EGR race pipe to mine ..... Management Light is on and the only people that can remove it are Jabba (im in bloody Hampshire so its going to be a pain in the arse!)

For info they have quoted me an hour's labour to sort it (£54 ish) ..... If I had known that it was going to set off a warning light I would never have bought the bloody thing!!

how come you got that extra bit of pipe running down have you upgraded the inter-cooler ?

p.s it looks nice that set up

You sure Jabba can only do it? Any decent mapper should be able to blank the EGR values out for you.

Suprised no one had meationed the fact that a EGR race pipe will induce a "harsher" shut down on power down and that the fact the EGR pipe is removed so is the Anti-shudder valve which is a safety feature to stop a TDI "runaway"
For those that dont know thats when the engine revs out of control until it destroys itself.. the anti-shudder stops this by cutting the air flow to the engine, starving it. Also the anti-shudder valve stops the "harsh" shut down on ignition off by smoothy stopping the engine cycle.

Hence there is a mod known as Wingnut EGR mod, where the EGR plunger is removed but the anti shudder valve is retained!

hmmm  sounds like its best to keep your EGR then and give it a clean up:rock:

Its not so much of a techincal job doing the wingnut mod, its only a 2nd hand EGR valve and dremmel and a fairly big bolt. Do a search on TDICLUB forum your find more info there. It keeps the anti shudder valve but removes and smooths the remaining EGR pipe.
