Tdi sport MPG?

Hi all and a merry christmas, this has probably been done to death but just took my car out for a 40 mile trek. My average speed was 40mph and the comp read an average of 52.3mpg. Does that figure sound about right to all the tdi owners??

I've got a TDi Sport (2000 miles so far). I've had an overall average since I got it of 51mpg, and on a 70 mile motorway journey at 70mph I can get 60mpg. I'd say 52 was pretty good .

Nice one mate thats all i wanted to hear. By the way as the days go by i'm liking this car more and more! It's a great feeling when you can blow anything away, like just this evening a chap in a golf mk3 16v, he didn't know what hit him! lol. Also i don't feel guilty like i used to in petrol's as i only put £6 in and went on this 40 mile trek and the comp says ive got 45 miles till it runs out, f***kin ace!!

Your trip computer wont be dead on accurate also... but anything above 50mpg on my trip computer and I class that as me 'really' nice driving!

I've got a cordy Tdi 130 , and last summer me and the family plus a ton of luggage did a trip of 130 miles with an average speed of about 65 , and the computer thingy said my average mpg was 61.5 not bad eh for a four door saloon ,

Anyway

What colour is your Sport? Ive had my FR TDi for nearly 2 years now, and I still get excited, so dont worrie about it

Me neither.. spent to much on this as it is! I used to own a black mk4, before my current FR. They look ace when clean, just hard to keep it that way!

Back on topic a little, if your doing a run, and traffic isnt to bad anything over 50mpg on the trip imo is a winner, when traffic is bad it does seem to drop as people pull out infront of you and u have to slam the brakes on, so on so on!
