Just had a trawl back through and spotted that I don't seem to have posted my fave colour. Which is, of course, Forest Green - it's a dark green metallic but with a slightly purpley/bluish hue about it when the light catches it. Was one of those odd colours that was only available for a year or so, and then only on some models - never available on 16v Cupra Sport. It was a colour that other Seat models were available in for years beforehand, but was only offered on mk2 Ibiza for about a year. Probably even more bizarre was that the 15" wheels on Forest Green 8v Cupra Sports were different from the 15" wheels on 8v Cupra Sports in every other colour. Weird, huh?

While there does seem to have been quite a bit of parts bin roulette going on, when I bought mine new back in 1999, I was looking at cars in a number of local(ish) dealers. 3 Forest Green 8v's at different dealers, all with same wheels. Interestingly (well, maybe "interestingly" is stretching a point, but...), one was fitted with Pirellis, one had Continentals and the other had Michelins. The Forest Green 8v in the 1999 brochure also has the wheels mine was supplied with, though the Bengal Yellow 8v featured in the same brochure has the more usual "flat faced" 5 spoke wheels. Go figure.
