I know this might be a really obvious answer so heres the queston. It the Cupra R 225bhp only or did they make the 210 a cupra R
engine code BAM is only way to be sure its a 225. 210 was AMK. ALthough 04 will be a 225.

Engines have a coe to identify the variant.
Engines coded AMK will be 210 bhp
Engines coded BAM will be 225 bhp.
You can see the engine code stamped at the front offside corner of the engine. look next to the charge pipe and its stamped on a plate so you can read the code looking downwards. ie the code is stamped horizontally facing upwards.

true!i was just making sure becayse when i went to see it the garage said it was 180bhp but when i went to insure it, it said 225!
Cupra was 180, Cupra R was 210 and then 225. If yours is a proper R then it's definitely not a 180! Have you checked your engine code yet?
