Right I know that a BOV is no use on a 1.8 20VT Vag engine so i asked baily's what their stance is on the fact that they advertise that their DV-26D WILL!!! work.
And the can back to me in writing and garrantied that it does so i have got them to send me one (please be aware i do not plan on fitting this truely as i already have a forge Split R fitted) with the intension of proving them wrong and then might try get comp for faulse advertisement.

What you think?
Do i have a leg to stand on?

:cartman::cartman:

Do you have a link to that Bailey valve?

I dont mate their website is shite.
its all undercontruction and says i was supposed to be completed 1 year ago.

but their price list on their website does state that the standard DV26 will suit a Audi TT (which is the same engine) so that is also wrong

Not sure why you can be bothered to do it to be honest? If you have a Split-R already...??

If you had a standard DV or a 007P and were looking to change then I could understand it?

Show the linky tho...

The way it is mike is that i have a old DV26 already and they said they will swap it for a DV26-D so basically i get new for old anyway.

Is the D much louder than the Split-R then?

Yeah much much loader, its a full blown Blow off valve.
Baileys do insist that it must be fitted with a FK99 fitting kit though for it to work.

I had the DV26 originally fitted to an a3 and it ran fine on that so couldn't undertand why i wouldn't work on my LCR but i fitted it an wo and behold it ****ed up but basically baileys say this is because it cant handle the boost pressure created by the LCR therfore the D has a stronger spring

Of course it will work that was never the issue

The issue was that by not re-circ the air the ecu 'could' be tricked into running lean......nobody can say for sure either way. Lean running engine = a short engine life

Plenty of arguments for and aginst tho

:Di have a Dv26-D fitted to my LCR and it works a treat!!!!!

So have you fitted it with the fiiting kit craig?
or have you simply replaced the recirc with the BOV and plugged the recirc hose.

You see im not sure what this fitting kit looks like so not sure how it works

it came with the fitting kit, so fitted it all as the instructions said. i took my forge 007p off, and replaced it with the bailey valve. been on now for over 18 months n had no probs with it!!!

Thats why im looking in to this basically mate cos even though i didn't get any fault codes or management lights i still notice an negative effect on the performance when i fitted the DV26 so curious about the "D".
