hi,any help with this problem would be a great help as im moving house and have packed my owners manuals away for my Leon.

i started it up this afternoon(1st time started today) and after a few secounds there was a warning beep and then the red LED on the thermostat gauge started flashing.it was still doing this after about 1 minute.so i turned the ignition off and started it again and was fine-no flashing.

Could anybody tell me the cause of this please just so i can prevent any damage if its dangerous.

thanks

was the number of beeps actually 3?

if so, check coolant level is not low as stated and give the prongs in teh bottle a scrape with scew driver.

2nd most asked question ever i should think

Sometimes it happens if moisture gets on the coolant sensor plug. Get some dielectric grease and treat the connections.
