Threaded bleed nut

Hey guys just doing my rear brakes and after loosening the bleed nut it is just spinning when i put it back in. Whats the realistic outcome of this? Can i just re-tap it and put a plug in or will i need new rear callipers?

id be removing the bleed nipple completely and seeing what the threads are like, with a bit of luck it will have stripped the nipple only and you might be able to just clean the threads in the caliper with a similar sized bolt or a new bleed nipple. Chances are not of course.

ok been informed by a mechanic who had a look. New calliper. What other cars can i get these from as shall be visiting scrapy's tommorow.

golf mk4 audi a3/s3 skoda octavia seat leon. i think they should all be the same rear caliper

Try also 16v Mk2 Golf or corrado.
