Does anyone know if a audi tt throttle body will work on my ayp ibiza. Im thinking as long as i dont get a cable one. Also what is involved in changing to cable throttle? And help will be appreciated

yes it will fit.. but why? unless yours is faulty, its the same part.

why change to throttle cable?
ecu is drive by wire, throttle pedal is drive by wire, the whole car is designed to be drive by wire as std.....

What are you thinking this will do for you?

I need a new tb because a clumsy welder has melted part of mine. got one for 25 off ebay from a tt hence my question. Also i have a stage 2 revo ecu that is faulty. It doesnt know where the accelerator is so when you start the car it either revs like mad or ticks over. Was thinking changing to cable may bypass this problem?

what fault codes are in the ecu? have you done a throttle alignment?!

Cant remember the codes exactly it was something about accelerator position sensors. there is a thread on here about it as i bought the ecu from a guy on here think what caused it to break was my lamba sensor shorting out on the road. And no i havent tried tba i dont have vag com

i wouldn't blame a bad ecu, it's going to need either a throttle alignment or a position sensor, that's why it's playing up!

It definately is the ecu because i got towed to the guys house after it broke and we swapped my ecu back into mine and it worked fine and the faulty one into his and had the same fault. A company has said they may be able to fix it for 217 but was thinkin if i could swap to cable would be cheaper.

its not just swapping the throttle... ecu is expecting drive by wire..
ecu fix or replacement is your cheapest fix

Ok will just have to get it fixed then. It was only an idea and i no nothing! Cheers for answers though.
