some can see loss if its not mapped in and it can struggle to idle as i found out last year

I don't beleive that for a minute....

sounds more like it was not fitted right & had a post maf leak - hence idle issues.

glad you said that! i'm hoping to fit my SFS tip next week (as long as it turns up!), and my LCR isn't mapped yet!

Had tip fitted a week after the cc phase 2 remap ( last year ) and the car felt slower and idled alot lower ( all fitted by jbs ). True story.

Forge here. Fitted after the remap and made a noticeable difference. Complete pain in the arse to fit.

Fitted my forge TIP, very strong stuff, gave it a beating and a half to get it on. alot of different espically in the top end. (Logs to prove gain).

It's not *that* bad, but don't start expecting it to be a five-minute job. Having a four-post ramp or inspection pit will save a lot of hassle too.

It may be easier on an LCR, but access to the turbo inlet on the LC is a bit tight to say the least.

Forge had Samco manufacture them for them because they were too busy/couldn't be arsed but now are doing them as well

I've ordered mine through a guy on ebay...username "Hose Solutions". I ordered a SFS TIP and both the upper intercooler hoses for £140.00 inc p&p.

He has very good feedback (1000's), and has kept me informed along the way...he also rang me the other day to confirm they are on SFS's production line...fingers crossed i should have them this week coming up...will let you know!
