not that different in off the line straight line starts.. Just get to leave some No 11's on the road LOL

Corners is where it comes into its own.. out of roundabouts etc, it will put the power down and not spin up the inside wheel madly.

Once you have had a high power fwd car with a diff, you wont want to ever be without one.

cheer lads i will def get the lsd then
You don't want a LSD mte you want a ATB (Automatic Torque Biased) Differential as it uses gearing rather then clutch plates, so pretty much last forever! There not quite as effective as a LSD but pretty much! Once you driven a FWD car with a ATB you wont want to drive a FWD car without one!

Right...

Having just had a check on Quaife's site it appears it will most likely be an ATB diff although there doesn't appear to be a speciifc listing for a Leon, only Ibiza's

It'll be whatever BBT's supply as they'll be fitting it, not me

As long as it has the desired effect of allowing me to zoom round a few track days I'm not too fussed if it's ATB or LSD :funk:

I've done trackdays at Knockhill before and after having the Quaife ATB diff fitted - much, much more grip and speed through the bends with the diff.

The diff for the 6-speed Leon is: VW 02M121D 2WD

You'll need a bolt kit too, VW sell them or Jabba will get it for you.

Doing my first K'hill with my Quaife this Fri. Any advice on how I should drive? Same as before but just putting the power down earlier on exiting corners?

Cheers

Just get used to what the diff does first, you wont find that you need to change your driving style really, you'll just find that you don't have to be feathering the throttle all the time to stop the inside wheel spinning up!

Just slap the throttle just before mid corner and hold wheel with both hand and let it rip out the corner.

The diff doesn't really do much in straight lines nor on very tight corners. Best on fast sweepers.
