I can get 42mpg out of mine with an exhaust and an induction kit so I can't see how you guys can't even get over 30..!!
33 on average though

40mpg! You must drive like a nun! The highest average I have got so far is about 27.5 and that was on a motorway I think, around town Im lucky to see 25! (although my 'zorst is blowing and it does need a service BADLY!)

Looking through about 3 or 4 replies were sarcastic, but they were obvious. Its just banter, happens on most forums (except really strict forums that have no soul)

i seriously wouldn't just cut your standard springs lol it would make your car lower but it would still be just as soft as before. the polo's have different top mounts on the suspension so not sure if the actual shocks are the same. i've lowered mine on apex springs and sports shocks, and got some 16" oz superleggeras, they're mega light! handles spot on and looks 100% better!
