Tom Coronel may switch to BTCC this year.

World Touring Car race winner Tom Coronel could compete in the British championship this season if SEAT Holland decide to reduce their racing budget for 2009.

Yes would be good to see Tom mix it up over here again. He didn't really get much of a opportunity to shine when he stepped in for SEAT Sport UK at the end of the 07 season. The Leon wasn't that competitive at Thruxton and the Vectra's were very strong.

But he's a real character and I believe he would be a very popular addition to the paddock and a very good competitor.

It was a bit quiet from CVR no new news at Autosport show? They announced late last year they were soon to be taking delivery of the first of its two SEAT Leon touring cars. Not much since?

Appears a lot of teams are struggling more this year to get sponsors on board.

I guess we'll be waiting until March and the media day before we know for sure who makes it and who doesn't.

Well, at least we have 3 confirmed SEATs for 2009. Just gotta wait and see if BTC Racing emerge.

Their website still says they are looking for 2 Leons (but then it says the Toledos are still for sale too, and we all know that Mr McMillan has those)

We'll have to wait and see.
