Cheers guys.

Dont think the spendings going to stop just yet either. Got a few more plans, mostly visual stuff, and the odd bit to boost power some more as well.

Good man, I'm glad you said that because I was thinking the one thing you are lacking is power LOL

How would you rate the meth kit?
I was considering one as there seems to be a couple of guys across here and edition who are claiming upto 270bhp on a 50/50mix?! Some serious advance timing there on the map to see increases like that!

My main concern is i dont think im prepared to layout 500 on a meth kit for 5bhp gain.
I know torque wouldnt be an issue as the clutch is rated to 480lbft but I like you and Ash am starting to get bored now lol

£500 for a meth kit?

Think I paid £220 for the full kit and a 2.5gal tank, from Devils Own. If you go on briskoda, the UK agent is registered on there, under the name devilsown. Drop him a PM and he'll sort you out.

As for the 270bhp claims, im sceptical. unless there over 400ft/lbs, im a non believer. Too easy to make horsepower figures above the odds on a rolling road.

Mine was RR'd with a 50/50 mix, and the mapping had very little adjustment, but i generally run around a 40/60 meth/water mix. Any more than 50/50 though, and your heading for trouble.

I think one said he's had increased to 410lbft, cant remember who it was off the top of my head but it seemed pretty impressive!

Im sure it was the badger5 kit i was looking at but also factored in a controller and the cost of having the map adjusted for the £500.

Guess it would all come down to how much I would see spending more on a car with 75k on it to be worth it. as I'd probs have to get a ATB or LSD aswel :D

No point getting a controller on the diesels mate. Mine just runs off a pressure switch, which taps into my egr delete. Pump kicks in around 15psi boost. To be honest the progressive controllers are only really useful on petrols.
Think all in with the mapping on a rolling road, it cost me about £400, and for what i gained (15bhp & about 50ft/lb) I consider it worth it. Feels so much more willing to go now.

I'd also say a diff is a must. Honestly. Get one. It will make your car enjoyable again. You can go into corners so much quicker and harder than before. Dont know why i didnt get mine done sooner now.

Great progress there tom.

Question on the meth, how much are you using per tank full? Have you noticed big improvement in hot weather conditions?

To be honest, it depends on the sort of driving im doing. I have my meth injection switched, so it isnt constantly kicking in. I only really use it if I'm really going for it, or if i want lotsa smokeyness.

It does make a massive difference when the temperatures are high, yes.

I ordered some silicone vacuum pipe, which turned up last week, so set about tidying up the engine bay a bit.

The hose was supposed to be purple, but looks more blue to me. Ah well. Still looks smart.

As you can see, I also sprayed the washer fluid cap, oil cap, coolant cap, and bonnet stay housing black. Just looks that much cleaner. I also intend to spray the dipstick, either black or blue when i get chance (probably at my next 5k oil change).
