Ok so i know the ibiza's are known for their exessive play (around an inch ive heard) and my car is no different, however i believe a knocking/clunking noise i am hearing is coming from my top strut mounts, this had been the case since coilovers whent on a while back, with brand new top strut rubbers etc from gsf, everything is tight and as it should be, anyone else had the noise? Any cure? It could be my exhaust hitting the axle but it happens if i turn vigerously at slow speed an from the front of the car, any ideas will be much apreciated,
thanks,
chris

CV boot/joint or similar?
is camber/tracking right?

it could be the top mounts, but it could also be alot of other things :)

Both outer cv boots have gone so i am buying two refurbed driveshafts at the wknd rather than juat replace the boots, i thought driveshafts were only full lock etc, this happens when driving straight, thanks or the info

some cause knocking mate, my old astra did
and tbh i think this car does, it's my drivers side driveshaft, passenger one is ok

when i didn't do my top mount up, it would make more a "suction" sound (like the rubber would go all the way down and back up)

ahh right thanks for the information the driveshafts need doing so ill replace them hopefully this weekend and report back, thanks again mate

ok another quick update listening to it more and more it does sound like rubber rubbing on metal... i dont understand as i have exessive play, but no more than the usual ibiza, grease up and noise should go away? or any real soloutions? thanks once again
