Thank you all for the answers!

I decided to go with 1.4 and already placed an order. Estimated delivery is beginning of May :)

The decision was purely an economical one - over 6 years (the minimum I plan to stay with the car) the difference in purchase price and running costs adds up to around 4000 Euro so quite a lot. Currently I'm not commuting with a car but it might change so the difference can be even higher.

I spec'd it with all the nice things - ACC, DCC, Alcantara, 18" Performance I rims (normally I wouldn't go with the latter two but they were a part of a package) and the colour is Boheme Purple. I'll post some pictures once I get it!

Received following info from a Seat uk dealer yesterday. Enquired about lease quote

The lead time on the 2 variants are as follows:

- SEAT Leon 5dr 2.0 TSI CUPRA 300 DSG – Approx. 14 weeks

- SEAT Leon 5dr FR Technology 1.8 TSI 180PS DSG - Approx. 27 weeks (12 weeks for car, +15 weeks for the 18” Performance Machined Alloys)

The Leon FR is also on the Product Restriction list too, which adds an additional 8 weeks onto a lead time, however as the 18” Performance Machined Alloys are + 15 weeks the FR restriction runs alongside the alloy restriction.

The car was ordered in Czech Republic (I live in Germany) so hopefully the times won't be that long.
+15 weeks because of the rims?? Hopefully they have enough of Performance I's on stock...

Hi MadCow, can I ask how much this was in Euros? What sort of discount? How did you communicate with the dealer? Thanks

I sent emails to a bunch of dealerships asking for a quote for a specific config and the best offer I received was 7% off the list price.

Before deciding on buying the car in Czech Republic I checked Carwow for the best offer I could get in Germany and it was >2k euro higher. After making a deposit I found some other websites like Carwow with a little bit better prices but 'non binding waiting time 16 weeks'. The Czech dealer is still sticking to delivery date on the beginning of May (10 weeks).
