Hi,
I'm needing some new tyres and the garage i use has recommended the new Toyo Proxes 4.
My LCR is at Stage 2 so they need to be grippy tyres.
Anyone else using these at all that could give me some advice please.
I have had Goodyear GSD3's in the past but they didn't last long (6k miles) i am currently on my second set of Michellin PS2's but they are a bit too expensive for me at the moment.
I have searched but all threads show up the T1R's not the newer Proxes 4.

Any advice welcome
Cheers
Rich

if you are not happy with how long the good years lasted then you may not like the toyos.

Have you considered the new goodyears?
What price are you being quoted? id say the price difference is a pretty good indicator of the difference in these two tyres.

From what I've heard the Proxes are bloody good and last well against the Goodyears.
I'll need x2 tyres soon and I'll be going down this route.

Not sure why ppl still bother asking about the GSD3s as they'll be old stock sitting about in warehouses - and we all know that it aint any good for rubber.

A bit late, i got the Toyo's at the end of May, lol.
I'm happy with the Proxes 4, they have a meaty tread on them and grip well.
Got them for £100 a corner as well so can't complain.

lol sorry mate, perhaps for next time! I've got some Pirrelli PZeros on mine at the moment (they came with the car) Pretty good tires but they dont last long at all!!! I think i'm gonna go for some GSD3's next. Let me know if the Toyos hold out longer than your GSD's did though!

conti sportcontact 3s.

cheaper than the PS2s. is it really worth skimping on the tyres, especially at stage 2? the price difference between the toyos and the contis isn't really THAT much considering how much you've spent on your car.

you know its worth it :)

I've had PS2's before but they were working out at £50 per tyre more!
I can't justify the extra money at the moment. The Toyo's are just as grippy but might not last as long that's all. I'm not skimping in any way, never would.
