Lol, yes mate, fear not, im pretty good with engines, the valve is fitted correctly (boost in the bottom, splits through the sides)

It seemed that the first time i ran with it, it didnt chatter much really until set quite tight, but now it always does pretty much until its lightest setting, i even re-piped the boost gauge as it was previously on the d/v line, but my 007p worked fine with that set-up, and nowts changed.

What colour is the spring in your valves??

Im running stage 2 tune with V-tune boost set to 102.4%, 3 inch tip/fmic etc etc. Wondering if its letting too much out due to pressure???

007p for sale!:D

After a lot of head scratching, I blanked off the d/v relocation and switched it back to the OEM hot side. Job done! Now im whooshing and chattering like a good-un!;)

Because my custom cold-side exits too close to the pressure sensor, this was getting confused and saying I was losing boost, even through the 007p, and going into limp mode. (weird how it ran ok last night, but who knows, maybe it was learning!)

Thanks for everyones help, may get a proper cold-side kit for it, but no huge benefits anyway tbh, ill just service the valve at decent intervals. Had to set it pretty tight though due to the amounts of boost my map provides!lol! will only work about one turn less than fully tight!

Thanks all for the help:)

lol thats quite strange i heard they do run better with cold sdie kits tho. not sure weather to mess as mines working fine. i may get the N valve upgraded tho.
mine is pretty tight im only runnin a stage 1 at 260bhp n 370nhm torqe. think mine is a couple of full turns in. i did it soft n it had loads of lag n didnt dump the best just sound like a small fart.

EDIT: Unfortunately my car has started hitting limp mode all the time now due pressure drop fault:S

Why doesnt mine work!!! It worked the other day for a short trip, but now, one boost and it hits limp mode:( faulty sensor prehaps???

Im going to stick on the 007P tonight and see what happens then, as im positive theres no boost leak. If it happens with that, then something else is amiss.

thats well strange.
altough i was told that a fault needs to register a few times for it to become a problem (on vagcom)
really strange is the trumpet facing the bonnet? (upwards) and the vacum hose attaching from the side (right).

Yeah mate, just like that, its 100% rigged up correctly like, been playing with turbos for a while now so know the score.

Im going to see how it reacts with fully recirc forge valve like i say. If it plays up then, theres obviously something else playing up.

Not sure if you've answered me or not but have you tried using the Turbosmart in recirculate mode I.e. remove the trumpet completely and use the blanking plate?? 100% quicker than swapping with the 007P and you'll know if it's the valve.

Let me know how you get on.

i havent got the n29 bypass, it maybe because your running a lot of boost. i know robdon had one of these and he's done loads to his car. i cant see how it would work on one and not on others. craazy:blink:

Next step will be turbosmart in fully recirc which i havent tried yet.
