Got it of here, was on an ibiza i think, never knew they were different sizes.
Internal is 30mm and external is 37mm.

If it's full atmos then yes it will mess with the fuel. The 1.8ts ECU uses the MAF to measure airflow up and down the intake. If it releases the full pressure into the atmosphere, the MAF senses this and overfuels to compensate.

I think that's how it works anyway lol but I know a full atmos is not a good idea on these cars.

Nope it's a dualport which means it releases some back down the intake and some to atmos, keeping the MAF happy

I was using the DV26 atmos valve recently - apparently worked fine with no fault codes at all. But it will cause slight overfuelling and a reduction in MPG, plus the sound got annoying so I went back to the full recirc. DV30, which is still pretty loud and is fine for me, plus the 1.8t was designed to run that way.

Full atmos valves can cause CAT failure, bore wash, fouled plugs and error codes for pressure drop and lambda probes.
