Right this is probably going 2 be pretty repetitive as iv asked before in another thread. Anyway Im after some tweters for the front and possibly the back of the car wondering what ones will sound good and fit with out too much modification

Back of the car a coaxials unless you decide other wise, would need so sort of framing out for the tweeters in you wet for components. Take the door card out, then take out the triangle bit and messure the tweeter to find the best aftermarket one. I would tell you the best but I binned the tweeter. (been to the pub at dinner, Sorry if it doesn't make scene). Guessing that the originals where no bigger the 40mm diameter. 10mm depth.

yer think the ones in the front are the same size as the ones in the rear, might well leave the rear ones alone shall see anyway yep al measure em when I get a chance

i think u should have gone for a set of component speakers for the front in the first place seen as your're now changin the tweeters. My rockford fosgate ones fit fine after a little modification to triangle section. You'll need a set of crossovers to suit, or you could chop your original wiring but that would make it difficult should you change it all back when you come to sell your car.

changing the tweeters would not make any difference unless u put in a crossover but then u might aswell chance your speakers to and not to expensive if u know what u want the first time.. i spent £210 on a set of componant speakers for my front doors... and there a easy fit... there is a set of adapters on ebay with wireing adapters so no cutting of the cables needed at all...

what adapters did you use?? i couldnt find any for a mk4 ibiza.. bought sum off car audio and security in the end cos it said 99 onwards, but they dont fit mk4.. i had to cut a part out of them and basically bodge them to make them fit! If i could get a proper pair i would lol

yep I bought some of them the other day for the front speakers, its not the 17s Im after changing its the very small speakers

it splits the signal between the woofer and the tweeter resulting in better sound as you dont want low pitch stuff going to your tweeter and vis versa... and if you was going to put in coaxl speakers u might as well put in comps as its just a crossover which i dynamated to the inside of the door and a tweeter which takes 30 secs to wire up..

well I have fitted 6.5" Coaxial Sony XSA1727 17cm Speakers from halfords to the back and have a set to fit to the front as well just waiting on speaker mounts coming.

tec garble from those speakers
160watt peak power
30watt RMS power input
60 - 20,000Hz frequency range

Just wondering where to go from here to get some decent sound lol

Thanks very much for your help really appreciated

well i didt bother with the back at all, standard ones are in there not wired in to anythink and i spent more on the front speakers amped up to my kenwood amp, bridged, i would seriously get some decent speakers for the front and amp them they sound so much better i have a amp for the job if u want it? 4 channel so your new sony ones can be still used...
