It's nothing at all to do with the tyres - there is a fix available from SEAT UK - it's a known fault!just bought a seat exeo 2.0 sport tdi had it about a week when the tmps system alert went off.Checked tyre pressures and reset all ok for about another week then it came back on 3 days in a row.Took the car to seat who say i have different make tyres so need to buy a whole new set of tyres of the same make as the speed ratings are different?
.Im currently checking this with seat uk and getting a second opinion from another seat dealer.
any ideas? looks like i may have to fork out for new tyres ill keep u posted.
The system is very primitive indeed and looks only for variation in wheel speeds - there is no pressure sensors as such.
All the dealer is doing is following the reset - they need to get the new software version from SEAT UK - they tried that on mine and it's never gone off in almost 10 months/12,00 miles.
Tell them they need to get flash update (SVM30A8).
