still aint chnged mine.. but im sorting it today

every one been telling me to get some good year eagle f1's which i got a price for all 4 or £364 but i just been looking around and see they wear very quickly

i am doing 40000 a year miles so i want durability and grip. so i need a comprimise... the pirelli p zero nero last 28k with a front to back rotation

what would u recomend

Mate, end of the day, a couple of thousand miles difference between the p-zero and F1's is far worth it.

Worst comes to the worst, and you have to heavily rely on your tyres for emergency braking etc... which would you prefer to be using?

Just my 10p ;)

I am indeed...

the difference between the two is fairly big. I hated my P-zero's... the reason why they last is because there rock hard... even on track days with a good temperature in, they didnt want to work :(

about 10k on the front alone I guess, so if you drive normally, I guess 26k if your rotating them.

I don't think that you can have durability AND grip to the level i believe you want.
Compromise sums it up perfectly. You can either have grippy soft tyres that last 10k miles or not grippy hard tyres that last 30k miles.

From my experience, the Kumho KU31's grip well and last pretty well, as do the Vredestein Hi-Tracs. I don't think they make the latter anymore, so you'd be looking for the Vred Sportacs instead.

Have not had any real experience of other performance tyres, but people on here are always mentioning the Toyo T1-R's. Don't know what they wear like though.

If you drive long distances though (like a knob) then no tyre is gonna last for ages. You have to make the decision to either not drive like a knob or put your hand in your wallet a bit more often. Can't have it all, I'm afraid.

company car hand dont go in my pocket lol

its ok sorted it £360 all in with wheel alignment too

i cant help it i get in my car people hear its a diesel and want to race.. with all this torque its eats through tyres... i did good the fronts lasted 8k before i rotated to the rear and had to slow down lol

if you are going to buy tyres can i recommend you try a company called http://www.etyres.co.uk

I got a quote for one tyre £89 for a p zero. and they come to you and fit !

Camskill.co.uk - £58 a corner for Toyo T1-R's - Absolute Bargain!! Another tenner each fitting at your local tyre place.

Total Price: £272

my rubber is lasting about 5k at the mo tires are rubbbing off big time on the inner edges.... but i dont rate the eagle f1's that much i had a set of 4 on and they gripped ok but nothing specilal im running (before you laugh) uniroyal rain sport and think there great but opinions vary and so do differnt tireson cars, its a case of trial n error

Tyre choice is very subjective...

I like the F1's for the road, but theyre too soft for trackdays, you (or I) can go through a set easily in a trackday.

New wheels and Track tyres I think are needed.

im running (before you laugh) uniroyal rain sport

I'm with sooty22 here. Spent quite a bit of time searching this forum for oppinions and ended up getting a couple of the rain sport 1's for £150 including fitting etc.

Very impressed with the grip they give in all types of weather + according to the reviews so they are supposed to last well too. They're better than the toyos I had on my last car by far.

I've ran cheap tyres e.g. nankangs etc. before which have lasted for thousands of miles of abuse but at the end of the day the rubber is the last point of contact holding the car on the road. Where budget tyres seem OKish in the dry they are always absalutely sh1te in the wet :)

Stay away from KINGSTAR!

I was out of work a few months back and needed some tyres on a tight buget.

The bald Bridgestones on the front gripped better in the wet than the chinese tyres did in the dry!
Good laugh with traction control off in the wet though! :-D
