I ran P Zero's for 28k on my Cupra TDI running a remap but just changed the fronts to Dunlop SP Sport Max and the first 3 k on them has been better than the 28k on the P Zero's. You can take everyones opinion about tyres with a pinch of salt.

From my experience of driving them out on A/B roads they grip better in the wet & dry, less wheel spin if booting it and less tyre noise than the Zero's. My only concern with them is that due to the increased grip that usually means a quicker wear rate. I can get 14K from the Zero's so 12K from these would be spot on.

My Scooby has ran T1R's for the last 45k. They are due to be changed shortly and i'll be going the Dunlop SP sport Max route with them as well. All personal preference in the end, but you get what you pay for in most cases.

been offered the bf's at £80 a courner, they are vertualy the same compound as the gooyer f1's with stiffer sidewalls and less prone to punchers. we have falkens on at the moment and they are really bad in this weather, but they came with the car so need to change them soon'ish

i was running yoko para 2's all round, after 20k or so ive just put falken fk452's on the front

(have always run 215/40/r17).

chose the falkens after reading tyre reviews.com i think it was.

the falkens are reasonable round corners in the dry, have to say in the wet they feel scary. could be a heavy diesel engine tho ?

think next time i'll try the goodyear gds-"whatever they're making at the time"

I got my P Zero Nero put on yesterday and the guy fitting it said he had to put 60 grams of weights on there! It looks like someone's stuck a load of bling to the inside of my wheel..its balanced perfect tho.

Ive had both toyo t1rs and eagle F1s, totally recommend the Eagle F1s, tho in the dry the Toyos are pretty top notch.

mytryes.co.uk are pretty good on cost for eagle F1s amongst other tyres.
deliver to a local fitting station of your choice or to you your door.

or blackcirlces have been pretty cheap too.

I'm currently running Bridgestone Turanza and have about 5mm thread on them........clock says 41100 miles........:)

So either drive like a granny or these tyres are simply amazing!

I get good grip on the wet, there is obviously no wheel spin under acceleration as I don't have that much power. On the dry as well they have been very good.

Thinking I have to change later on in the year (if I don't change cars) and looking at getting the same if I can get such a mileage from them :)

I just got a pair of bridgestone turnanza ER30. I only got them as I had one on the apare wheel so only needed to buy one and got it all fitted for £100, which is all I could afford atm. They are quite quiet, but the grip isnt that great. I have heard that they last for a long time though. I wont go for them again as I prefere grip to life just for safty reasons - and I enjoy using the car to its potential:D

Can anyone recommend an online tyre supplier?

Also are there any other options to the GoodYear Eagle F1 GSD3 that is as good but cheaper?

Tried Toyo T1-R and although they are good in the dry and last a long time they are almost scary in the wet!

Cheers and sorry for dragging this from the archives!

Found the t1r to be a very good tyre in the wet:confused: G Good tyre for the price. Try camskill for a tyre supplier.

just got 4 tyres from camskill

Toyo T1-R - £63.90 per tyre and just under £10 delivery!

A saving of 90 odd quid over the GSD3 eagle F1 for 4 tyres

I would still say the T1-R is a lesser tyre to the F1 GSD3 but at that price you can't really say no.:ban:
