Good Year F1's, had neros on my FR managed to kill the fronts in 9k but they where scary just no grip unless it was warm & dry
It depends on what you're after really. Do you want something that'll grip and grip or do you want a hard wearing all round tyre?
I had the P Zero Neros on my Cupra and I have to agree with Miles that they're a bit pants unless it's warm and dry. Perfect for weather down by the Med, but pretty useless for the UK 80% of the time. I'm now running Toyo PX4 all round which again were fine when new and seem to be lasting forever, but they seem to have gone a bit hard and not very grippy almost 20k later.
px4's get my vote even though i haven't got em on yeti've done nearly 11k in my p-zero's and they're not worth the money spent to be honest
How are you able to recommend something which you haven't tried? I have to say that when new they were great in the torrential rain down to Spain and some "spirited" driving in Germany, but they've gone a bit crap since then and tend not to grip so well.
that's the first negative comment i've read about them and have done a vast search, they are an improvement on the t1r's and so can only be better (as all have said on the web)...and because i'm gettin em next, that's why they get my vote
the fact that they don't grip so well after is normal...tyres offer most grip when they've just worn in (after about 1500miles), after this grip only gets worse due to the lower tread
Seen these mentioned a few times on here, may follow suit
the vreidesteins are quite expensive iirc...however, all reviews seem good

For the standard wheel size (205/45R16) camskill are doing these (Good year eagle F1 GSD3) for £87 which is a great price - local place quoted me £135 per tyre

i had goodyear eagle f1's and they are the WORST tye i have ever had. They only lasted 10000 miles which was highly amusing to my boss. i would never touch them ever again.
i have BHgoodridge on the cupra now and they are amazing. been on the car 30000 miles with a rotation and still for 4mm left.

I was not that impressed with the goodyear eagle in a 205/45/16 found the toyo t1r much better every where but they were on a 17" wheel. Vredestien sessanta (much better than any thing else i've used but went back to a 205 size due to wheel arch clearance probs) a stunning tyre but only available in a 215/40/17 upwards. Now on uniroyal rainsport 2 on a 205/40/17 AMAZING wet grip and faultless in the dry £100 each fitted
I had P Zero Nero's on the car from new and the wear on the front's was terrible, I don't think I managed 20k from the two sets I had on the front, the first set were shot after 8-9k. Since then I've had Yokohama Parada Spec-2's on the front, and as said before they are good in the dry but fairly lethal in the wet, and now I have some Toyo Proxes T1-R's on the front which seem to perform pretty well in the wet and dry and are lasting quite well so far, of the tyres I have had I would buy the Proxes again over the others.
Yeah, on my cupra I got 9k on the front with P Zero Nero's and 7k with some crapy brand tire I had to get, because it was all the garage had in stock and the P Zero Nero's were starting to show wire in a couple of places on the inside of the tires.
I got my alignment checked after that (at another garage) and they said it was 'slightly' out but not enough to cause them to wear so much on the inside.

I've had my alignment checked a few times and it's always been right but the first set of tyres I had on my car were down to the metal on the inside edge of the tyre after 9k. If I align my steering wheel dead straight then stand at the front of the car I can see the wheels point slightly away from each other
I've not had any problems with wear on this latest set of tyres though and they must be 4 or 5k old now.Similar threads
