Unaligned front bumper

I put a cupra bumper (cupra/fr facelift version) on my TDI yesterday.

Drivers side is spot on and all aligned correctly, yet the passenger side is off .

Theres quite a big gap all around the front light yet all snug on the drivers side.
All seems to be fitted and lined up because it bolted on perfect.

I think its my passenger front side panel thats raised causing the problems, what bolts would I need to loosen up to move it?

Ah right, I shall have a look again tonight. Was a nightmare trying to get the old ones off and new ones on!

There is also a hole in the front panel that a lug on the rear of the bumper goes into on either side.

If all the bolt holes line up I expect its something simple

Do you know how the side panel can be adjust/moved adam?

What do you mean by side panel mate?

Sorry, dont quite know the correct name for it , the big panel on the passenger side where the Side Repeater is and the wheel arch.

The wing?

If you want to move it backwards or forwards undo all the bolts along the top and where the bumper fixes on and move it.


If you mean the front panel you can do the same thing.

I doub't you'll move the wing up or down very much I'm guessing its something simple like its not clipped in properly.

If you can't sort it take a few pictures and I'll try and help you

Lol, yeah thats it, the wing.

Oh, simple as that. I think its just raised slighty because thats not even inline with the bonnet, must of been like that before I even worked on it ....

If its the wing not aligned with the bonnet don't move the wing....move the bonnet.

Use the rubber adjuster to adjust the height to the wing.

If its to far forward or back then undo the bonnet bolts and move it where you want it.

Will do that first then Adam . Ill pop you some photos when I get it done chap, Ill get some taken before i work on it first.
I may need to ask you some questions with regards to alloy wheel refurb. Seen your guide and almost got all the kit to start work on it . Got some FR Alloys to get done, think I might go for white ones .
