Unlocking standard Mk2 Stereo

Guys,

When I sold my old Mk2 Ibiza I fitted the std stereo back in it, but I didn't know the code to unlock it.....

Went down to the local Main dealer and they said they couldn't help, as the car was too old..... whatever !!!

Anyone able to help out the new owner ?!? He's just got the joy of listening to the loud Powerflow exhaust at the mo !!! lol

I just pluged mine back in and it worked.. Didn't need a code. but maybe mine was odd lol

I offered to swap his exhaust with him but apparently hes too busy soooo cant complain

Yes I was hoping to swap exhausts with you as I hadn't heard from Brummy for a while and I didn't want to mess you around with not replying or 'umming and ahhing'. Unfortunately I can't make it to swap exhausts this week as I'm in the middle of 2nd year uni exams (Auto Eng).

Sunday (the day Brummy and I can hopefully swap exhausts) works for me as the guy I'm doing revision with is working on Sunday - so it's a good time for me to do this!

Incidentally, Brummy got in contact with me after I knew I wouldn't be able to swap with you before Friday.

I want to get everything clear as I'm new around here and don't want to rub people up the wrong way. I know from your end it might look like I've messed you around - so I'm sorry if that's the impression you got.


PS- I've got an exam tomorrow (dynamics), next tuesday (systems reliability), wednesday (engineering mathematics), friday (engines) and the following monday (vehicle design) - so I am genuinely busy! I'm writing this during a quick break before continuing further into the night.

its ok about being busy and what not, its just i had the car booked in and told them i was having a backbox, then when you said youd swap the exhaust with me, i thought i was gonna get effectively a cat back system. ive got my exhaust for sale now anyway, so ill see what i can get for it, and ill just get a cat back anyway... may aswell, since its going in

No problems about exams, i have them aswell, i just thought you were uumming and arring about who to swap it with and that you said you were busy maybe cos you promissed brummy it but then also said i could have it.

no hard feelings eh, either way i reckon itd have cost me just as much in petrol and time to come and pick it up and swap them, than to get a few $$$ for my old exhaust and buy a new system, and at least i get a lifetime warrenty.......

Thats decided it, cat back on friday...
