up grading REAR light bulbs

Has anyone upgraded their right light bulbs, whether its the stop lights, tail lights etc,

I see a few companies sell up graded bulbs for the rear, but wanted to know if any one has done this and is there much difference compared with orginals ! before i splash the cash

be careful if you do fit aftermarket bulbs
the difference in voltage commonly leads to dim brake lights and the bootlid mounted light on permenantly (looks like its glowing).

Cheers for the info, but surely this would happen if you had to replace a bulb cos it had blown, which has happend and with no side effects when putting another bulb in...

Maybe i will give it a whirl, can always take them back if something goes adrft

I'm not so sure that i'd hate the look of that glowing in the dark - at least if the muppet tailgaiting you was already focusing on the glow, when it turned to RED maybe they'd see it quicker?
