How do all,

Right, well, the next mod for me i think will be 312mm front brakes from the Cupra.

Query i have (following a nudge in the right direction from Uncle Fester) is that i think my carriers are part of the hub assembly (the part where the shock drops into that little cup)

Is this likely? Or should i have put my glasses on?

Dont know if that helps

Cheers

Just spoke to INA, he rekns that the carriers are part of the assembly and therefore non-removable, dammit!!!

Big job just broke out

you calipers look the same as mine, my disks are 281mm at the moment and ive been looking into this, tho you have to change the whole hub, and then you can upgrade bigger, as our carrier is built onto the hub as one, so on ours you have the hub and carrier, and the caliper just comes off
But for the conversion you need
Hubs from either a pd130 or pd150
carrier and calipers, disks and pads
There are a few cheap hubs on ebay at the moment so keep an eye out ;)

i wonder if someone could make some sort of adapter to fit to the standard carrier so a 312 caliper could be attached?

nope because the actual carrier is one piece with the hub so bigger disks just will not fit unless changing the hubs

should do. new hub carrier, callipers, carriers etc

expensive, but viable.

maybe a 288mm upgrade would be better vfm

from previous experience with other cars, you might need a hub puller to extract the hub off the drive shaft and patience. Might it be worth getting the wheel bearing changed in your new hubs (if they are used parts), saves having to take them off again in the future.
