Permanently altering it in a good way though. There's no way I'd want an LCR without this fitted knowing how much taughter and controlled the front is now. Should have been done as standard like the S3.

Yep the S3 is drilled and bolted at the factory. I don't think it would put anyone off at all when you inform them that it's a handling mod from the bigger brother S3 that helps with the cars stability.

Edit: Just to add that I went through exactly the same process as you wondering about upsetting handling with a permanent fix. Posted a thread a while back with some questions and a poll and the responses were all very positive.

Unless you know about these things you would never notice it.
If you know about these things you would see the benefit and not worry about it

the S3 is black anyway so will look like the rest of your engine bay components , not like a big chrome or red sparco one,

just need to fit mine now , bought it ages and ages ago , lower one went on as soon as i bought it ,
