ha my engine mounts are getting changed tomorrow! there vibrating againist them selfs, at low rpm!

Which mounts are you having changed Phil? If all of them, will you find out which have worn the most?

Im having the mount that holds the gear box (beside the gear selector) changed as its got pieces of rubber falling off it! ive only actually noticed this because the engine bay is stripped of alot of things atm

and as for the mount on the timing case side its sort of leaning back and you can see where its dropped slightly rubbing the paint off the mount its self!

I'm getting a shed load of vibration at low revs in gear. Is this a common engine mount to fail?

Georgel are you talking about an engine mount or the Torque mount?

As the torque mount wouldn't require a jack to support the engine.

Same size location and shape, but different compound material I believe.

Jabbasport say the dogbone mount including bush are the same on the Cupra TDI and Fabia VRS/ FR TDI

Thanks for the updates guys. I'm not sure which mount Ric as I have no idea what has worn mate. I just wanted to know if there was a common one. I'll get a mate to check for me though. The vibration at low revs isn't very nice at all.

Don't believe it's that bad on a petrol. But most on the briskoda who have dervs say turn up the rpm via vag.com to eliminate the vibration when stationary.

Na it was designed for the petrol so should be bearable.

I'd say around 50% of people with diesels that fit them on the Skoda site remove them.

I'm just going to get a new standard one and fill the voids with resin or silicon.

But from what I remember, they installed Vibratechincs. Not the Superflex if I'm correct, so we can’t generalize I supose… Nevertheless, I’m waiting for some chattering…
