I'm not surprised the search has shown no results, if you keep entering 'Fule'

So i take it no one knows any thing about a uprated fule pump for the lcr then.

The last thing i want is to go out on a cold day put my foot down and it run lean and burn the piston.

Also does any one know any thing about running a live feed straight from the battery?

Why do you want an uprated fuel pump?

Try the Big Turbo section
As I said, the fuel pump only needs uprated if your going for a bigger turbo
If your not going bigger turbo then don't worry about it.
If its a second hand car and you are worried about it then get a new LCR fuel pump

If you do change the fuel pump you'll need to get the car mapped to suit it as the
ECU will still think it has the standard fuel pump and that could cause problems

As Junior Senior says, unless running over 330-350bhp then the standard LCR pump is fine. The only thing you may have to upgrade for a remap is the FPR to a 4-bar item.

The LCR pump is the same as the S3 pump FYI.

I want a uprated fuel pump for piece of mind as i have said before.

You can be running 70000bhp or 2bhp if the pump makes the car run lean it will burn the piston and bugger the engine.

You don't need one, but hell if you want to waste some money for no reason then go ahead, fill your boots!

I would spend some money on a rolling road session/mapping session with a 4bar FPR and have the tuner make sure it's not running lean.

You are more likely to run lean with maxxed out duty cycles on your standard injectors before the LCR/S3 pump starts to labour.

the std one is more than adequate for up to 320bhp levels, which unless you are planning a bigger turbo, is simply not req'd.

~If you want peace of mind, fit a second pump so you have 2 running at the same time if this is your concern.

Nothing wrong with the std item

If you want to uprate the fuel pump it is not a problem but you will need to buy a 4 bar fuel pressure regulator and will need to get the car remapped at approx £400
I take it you've had problems with fuel pumps before?
EDIT what they said!!

........ erm... why "need to buy 4bar" and "need to get remapped"?

why do it in the first place at all being the question we're all asking of course.

Surely if you upgrade the fuel pump you'll need a FPR to regulate the fuel pressure down (note to self, car has FPR already.... DOH!!)
And remap to get the ECU to recognise that the fuel pump is different.
BUT as you, me and everyone else has said WHY BOTHER!!

fuel pump wont require any mapping change.. it simply serves to deliver fuel to the rail, which as you rightly say already has a regulator in there... ;) at 3bar, and the rest of the fuel just returns back to tank... so higher output pump will have more returning to tank, as fuel pressure is already regulated. ie not more flowing out of the injectors at all... unless you change the fpr for a higher pressure one.
