Hi

Wondering if anyone can help. My company have just changed phones from a normal one to a Blackberry. It's taking some getting used to but it seems pretty good so far.

Trouble is, as part of the deal we are all getting new car kits fitted. But unlike nearly everyone else at my firm its my own car rather than a company car. I don't want some cowboy drilling holes in my dash / bodywork etc. The install is being done by Toad so it should be professionally done.

Oh and they're coming to work some time this morning!

Any hints, tips gratefully received.

Thanks

Mike

I'd just stand there whilst they fit it and watch them like a hawk.

After all it's your car!!

Yeah and make sure you TELL them and that they UNDERSTAND you don't want holes drilling in your dash... you should be able to get it where you want, really..

Thanks Guys

He turned up, but didn't fit anything in the end. He showed me the cradle he had been supplied with and the brackets and it was basically a bit crap.

There isn't a specific cradle for a Blackberry, so it's a universal one. Hence one size fits all. It's about the size of a kids car seat! Add that to the "universal" bracket to fit it into the trim by the radio and "adapter plate" and the fact that to charge it up you have to plug in a cable to the side of the phone, it was all looking way to Heath Robinson for me. So I declined.

Bloke from Toad was really good though. Showed me a couple of different options, so I think I'm going to go with the Parrot 3100 rather than a cradle.

Cheers

Mike
