Yes fair enough, security not great on bm's, I think it's improved somewhat on the post 2013 models with software update. I use a crook lock lol

Don't get wrong fantastic cars they really are but when thief's can easily bypass security systems without even setting off the alarm it's quite worrying

Why are you getting rid of the 330i? That's a lovely engine especially the e9x. How did you find it to drive? I had an e46 330i years back, really enjoyed it

Put it this way I traded in my 14 plate golf r for it. Love it. Problem is it's just not getting used. It's a 60 plate and its only on 22k lol.
Paying 317 per month for that and the Mrs has a 207 gti which is costing her a fortune in fuel so going down to one car on finance as she's paying 170 for that a month so nearly 500 for both of ours. If we can cut at least £ 100 per month it will help. Also cheaper fuel insurance etc.
Il just get a little run around as I need something seperate to go see my daughter if the Mrs is at work.

Personally I'd keep the 330i if I were you. It shouldn't lose much value now if you're doing low miles and stick to service schedule, as the 3 ltr straight 6 is a very sought after engine now with bm enthusiasts, with most new bmws now being turbocharged. Ask the Mrs to trade the pug in for a white Dacia Sandero on a lease for 79 quid per month... I'm sure that would go down well lol

Yeah il get back to you after they've removed the axe from my head lmao.
My car got broken into about a month back. Been a massive surge of bmw thefts in my area so want rid.
Just bought a house aswell so we just want one nice car between us which won't cost a fortune to run.
I really like the 184 diesel. Good running costs and in my opinion with the styling pack better then the cupra for looks.
Mrs likes them aswell.

With that mileage and budget; Golf R on a lease deal but seems you already had one.

Yeah I wouldn't rush to buy another. Overrated in my opinion.
Also with my bmw being broken into I could do without another car that is high up on the thief's list.
A boot the size of my sink doesn't help either lol

Cambs police are having a major issue with high end Audi's and BMW's being taken at the moment. A guy had his new S3 taken from his driveway last week. An S5 went from my village when a women left the engine running with the car demising/heating up (always asking for trouble with that one).

Have you seen the new Passat BiTDI 240Ps 4motion? I had a look at the 190 SCR GT TDI last week and it's a lovely car. Loaded with kit and amazing quality.

The reason I can't get it just yet is that the Leon has depreciated so badly I don't have enough equity to put down a decent deposit. So paying 25K for a Leon wouldn't be advised, speaking from personal experience. I know depreciation is a fact of life but I've never owned a car that lost so much value so quickly.

When dealers are knocking out almost new FR's for £15-17K it screws up the used market. Great when you're buying, pants when you're selling.

Well it's like my bmw. I paid 18900 in January and trade in valued around 13500 lol. Only car that's held good value was the golf. Actually made money back on that when I traded it in.

Problem I've got is because I want one with th styling pack and the other goodies it's bumping up the price. Without the styling pack they look a bit ordinary imo. Juat a shame there's too many rip off dealers
The options come to over 11k lol

Quick question does the leather pack includes the seats or just the surroundings? It won't let me select leather pack and leather seats on carwow only leather pack and then alcantara/leather for seats?

Well after talking to the Mrs we may be open to the option of a cupra.
How does this one look?
Not a massive fan of back but think it looks quite nice on these.
Saw this car on Auto Trader’s Android App. Thought you might be interested. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201510187946733

Not a bad price but not sure on spec. Has acc, heated seats and sat nav.
What do you guys reckon?

Looks nice! New price for probably the new 290 Cupra will be around 25/26K with those sort of options maybe? So buying on PCP finance will probably work out the same as your one in the link as it will be 0% APR on a new model.

Have you looked at Drive the Deal or Orange Wheels for example?

Yeah il give those a whirl. Obviously the cupra is better specced as standard so less options to pile on and you pay less as they retain there value better then the diesels
