I did this to my former Golf 7 2014 Variant. This means stand light rear including instrument / dashboard light:

1. Select 09 – Cent. Elect.
2. Select 16 – Security Access
3. Input Security Code 31347 Click DO IT! And yes if it brings up other boxes
4. Select 10 – Adapation
5. Choose from drop down – (6)-Tagfahrlicht-Tagfahrlicht-Dauerfahrlicht aktiviert zusaetzlich Standlicht
6. Set Value to Active

It depends on the age of the car... from 2016 (ish) onwards certain VAG control models can only be coded with the latest versions of VCDS cable and/or coded via adaptation maps only.

Its 2014 so basically the reader shows up long coding helper on a 2011 audi but not on my 2014 leon

Yes, 2014 should be ok. I’m afraid I have no prior knowledge of coding on the Foxwell coder - only thing I can think of is that you need to enter the security code (31347) for the 09 central electric module to unlock it before coding on MQB cars (2013 onwards).

If you are based in NE England, then I’d be more than happy to assist with coding via VCDS.

I’m pretty certain that there are 2 different ways to code the rear lights as DRLs too - the way described above leaves the submarine lights in the front upper console on permanently too as far as I can remember - I coded this on an a Leon ST about 4 years ago, but then had to re-code each of the rear lights individually to stop this happening.

Do you have a very old version of VCDS? The latter begins with 18 in the version number. Current is 18.9.0. With old I mean >5 years, before the MQB model was intruduced.

Sorry but is it VCDS you have? Foxwell is not my table :).

If you dont have the right cables have you looked at OBD11 or Carista to make changes to the car.
