As some of you may know my car was written off last month by some imbocile who claims to be a professional driver. A taxi veered into my lane as i was overtaking and lets just the end result was not pretty :(

Just bought myself a new car though, its a 1.4SE but has done 107000 miles, will be staying standard i think. Quite pleased with it as i only paid £800 but it is nothing on the old car!

Sorry to hear of what happened to the red one. Was a nice looking car, bet you're gutted.

Standards of driving are getting worse these days, particularly taxi drivers if you ask me. I don't want to tar them all with the same brush but there are some terrible ones out there nowadays.

On the brighter side the blue one looks nice, especially for just £800. Here's hoping it behaves!

i am :( the worst part is its still sat on my drive until the insurance come out which they seem to be fobbing me off with. Its got some nice little features that my old one didnt like pop out rear windows, climate control and mpg trip but its still just a basic car. I miss my 1.2 soo much :(

Hows yours mate? Or are you still in america?

Wait?! The red one was written off? :-o
Get some stuff of the red car while you can ;)

It was :( had really bad luck with it recently, spent £500 having it fixed after i hit a curb and then a taxi pulled into me 3 weeks later :( I've already claimed quite a bit but front bumper was wrecked

Pop out rear windows are cool, would have been nice if SEAT made them all like that!

Keep us updated on this one, I'm sure you'll manage some budget modding at some point ;)

Yup I'm still in America, hoping to be back in the UK in the next 2 months. :)

Haha i was tempted but just wanted to do it honestly, hes trying to claim injuries off me saying that i was speeding! Yet he pulled into my lane! Insurance have said it will most likely go as 50/50 and nobodfy has even been to look at the car. I feel like ive been fobbed off :(

Are the facelift aero arms much different to the prefacelift arms?

Yes mate! Much better! Ill find a pic, and they work loads better too :)

See I knew you would :p

Been some minor changes while I've been gone, a couple of things broke so they got replaced with upgrades :D but I've a few ideas in the pipeline for the car yet. Realistically I'm not in a position to change it for a good few years yet so the modding shall continue ;)

Had a nasty feeling they might say that, just because it's not an obvious 'one car into the back of another' type accident. Push the b@st@rds, you shouldn't be penalised for some idiot's rubbish driving.

Realistically though is it worth it, book price is going to be low as car has 99k on the clock but i have p[arts that are worth a good few hundred and if i can keep my ncb i might just cut my losses and hope that the taxi driver falls down the stairs and becomes paralysed or something!!

Hi mate noticed an old thread where you mention the passenger window has stopped working, did you manage to get it fixed by changin the regulator?

Hi mate, no i never bothered in the end as it always worked but was just intermittent so learned to live with it! Lots of people have said the regulator is the problem though and i would say that is most likely what has gone :)

Re. the regulator, mine failed a couple of months back, obviously I wasn't in the UK to greet it's demise with swearing, so my dad sorted it. It was just the regulator. Apparently it had pretty much disintegrated

Yeah think im gunna have to buy a new one and give it a go, took it to Seat today and they tried charging me £70 to take a look and £300, yes £300!! to fix the regulator, i actually laughed at the guy and told him to forget it, il buy a kit for £20 on the bay and do it myself, thanks bud :)
